After failing to license the "Apostrophe S-Hook" as a hardware solution to keep up with the time's, North Carolina-based designer, Janet Erwin started Jantone Studios as an identity for handmade goods along various places on the conceptual continuum, from tissue box covers to lamp works.







Bicycle gear base with a cylindrical glass shade. When placing shade upright, its orange gear design element on the bottom locks into the metal gears to hold it in place. Placed downward, the shade sits directly on the base, with the orange gear design providing whimsical color. Takes standard bulbs. Rotary switch.
